She studied at the North West Institute of Further and Higher Education, Derry and the University of Ulster where she obtained a BA in Fine Art in 1987. She has exhibited widely throughout Ireland and in London and Paris. She has received numerous awards including the Milligen Brothers Materials Award, 2001 and the BASS Contemporary Irish Art Award 2000.
